Who among us wouldn’t be thankful for a $250 million windfall the day before Thanksgiving even if we knew our in-laws were coming for dinner the next day?

That’s the estimated top prize for the multi-state Powerball lottery drawing of Nov. 21 after no one hit the jackpot on Saturday for the 13th consecutive game. The lump sum payout for Wednesday is estimated at $166.8 million.

According to delawareonline.com, the winning numbers for the Powerball drawing of Nov. 17 were 3, 15, 27, 58, and 59, and the Powerball was 20.

Lottery Post reported that six tickets had the first five numbers without matching the Powerball to collect $1 million. None of them were from New Jersey.

If no one is able to win the jackpot on Wednesday, the next Powerball jackpot would be likely to clear $300 million. And if it rolled over one more time, the total might be within reach of its all-time record annuity jackpot of $360 million, according to philly.com.

The Powerball lump sum payout record, also within reach, was set at $223.7 million back in August.

Powerball’s website reported that the last Powerball jackpot win of this high an amount came when a couple from Iowa won a $202.1 million jackpot on Sept. 26.

Mary Lohse, 42, and her husband Brian, 43, have been seeing financial planners about their plans for the future. They explained to their three children, "We are still the same people that we were a week ago."

Let’s hope all of their newly found friends have understood that point.
