During a record-setting year for Hollywood at the box office, “The Avengers” led the way in 2012 by grossing about $1.5 million in ticket sales around the world.
Then there was the other end of the tote board.
Actor Christian Slater has been in a few films that most people have heard of- whether they liked the films or not. That list includes “Heathers,” “True Romance,” “Gleaming the Cube,” and “Hard Rain.” But Movieline reports that Slater’s horror film “Playback” was released to theater in March, and became the lowest grossing film of 2012.
Yes, theater. “Playback” appeared in ONE cinema for a week, earning $252 dollars on opening night, and $12 for the rest of its run, for a grand total of $264 in box office earnings.
