A cancer expert from Harvard believes that the form of cancer suffered by Steve Jobs did not have to be fatal.
Ramzi Amri, a Harvard medical school researcher, said, “Jobs allegedly chose to undergo all sorts of alternative treatment before turning to conventional medicine.
Gawker reports that Amri said that even during the period of his illness when Jobs was losing weight, Jobs devoted his time to Apple instead of receiving chemotherapy or other conventional treatments.
According to Mail Online, for nine months between Jobs’ diagnosis with pancreatic cancer between 2003 and around July 2004, Jobs tried to avoid an operation through a special diet. But the cancer’s rapid spreading caused Jobs to have an operation for the removal of his pancreas and duodenum.

It is uncertain what diet Jobs may have been using, but he was known to eat fish and follow a vegetarian diet. People with pancreatic disease often have problems digesting fat. Alternative treatments that may relieve symptoms include acupuncture and herbal supplements. But there is no medical evidence suggesting these could help to fight the disease.
Amri posted his ideas on Quora, a popular forum in Silicon Valley. He posted on the site that leaving even the most innocent malign tumor to grow is foolish — a ticking time bomb.
