With the college football season long over and the NFL Draft fast approaching, now comes the most important part of the year for prospective draft picks.
There are the All-Star games, the long days of training at prep facilities and the waiting while teams analyze which players are right for them.
Last year, New Jersey — known for football talent — landed seven former high school standouts in the first round of the NFL Draft (8-Eugene Monroe, 9-B.J. Raji, 12-Knowshon Moreno, 14-Malcolm Jenkins, 15-Brian Cushing, 27-Donald Brown, 30-Kenny Britt).
Who will be this year's New Jersey NFL Draft selections?
Some of the state's top prospects have let us behind the curtain and agreed to be part of a journal series leading up to the Draft. They are:
NEW JERSEY'S PRO PROSPECTS
Kevin Haslam, Rutgers, Offensive Lineman (Mahwah High School)
Donald Jones, Youngstown State, Wide Receiver (Plainfield High School)
Jason Worilds, Virginia Tech, Defensive End (Carteret High School)
