Bremelanotide is a product currently under development that would be used for female sexual dysfunction. It is seen as a kind of female Viagra.

And that product is being developed in New Jersey.

Palatin Technologies has about 20 employees, and moved to Cranbury in 2001.according to NJ.com. Their Chief Executive Officer is Carl Spana. Spana believes a multibillion-dollar market for bremelanotide awaits him around the globe. A study from 2008 estimated that 8 million premenopausal adult U.S. women were estimated to have sexual problems, and 2 million of those have been seeking treatment.
