Park Ridge native James Gandolfini is not being forgotten by his hometown.
The late star of the Sopranos died of a heart attack while vacationing in Rome this past June.
NBC New York reports that officials from Park Ridge will name Park Avenue at the intersection of Kinderkamack Road James Gandolfini Way on Sunday, December 1. The day will be declared “James Gandolfini Day.”
Park Ridge pointed out that the actor did a lot of work for philanthropic causes. According to WABC, Gandolfini worked toward breast cancer research, and also visited U.S. forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
