They say that records are made to be broken, but we’re better off if certain ones weren’t.
People have been committing suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge at a record pace in recent years. Two more people jumped to their death from the GWB on Monday.
The New York Daily News reported that a man and a woman appeared to make a joint suicide jump off the GWB. They were pulled from the Hudson River near 125th Street just after noon.
According to NorthJersey.com, the two were taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, and were pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m. The unidentified white man and woman were estimated at between 35 and 45 years of age, and no suicide note was found.
