HOBOKEN – When Dan McLoughlin’s cellphone was taken from a local Bank of America, he never thought that the thief would take pictures of himself and upload them to iCloud.
Opposingviews.com reports that McLoughlin accidentally left his phone at a Bank of America in June. After realizing that he left the phone in the bank while walking outside, but found the phone gone after returning to the bank moments later.
Unfortunately when McLoughlon asked Bank of America to let him look at surveillance video, they were unable to. It goes against the bank’s policy to allow this without a police warrant.
Soon after the incident the McLoughlons discovered a man’s mirror selfie on their iCloud and realized that it was the person who stole their phone.
