Golden Globe nominee and Toms River native Piper Perabo is ready to return to USA network with new episodes of "Covert Affairs."

Perabo stars as Annie Walker, a CIA agent trainee, and the show features spy adventures intertwined with romance that often follows. According to Digital Journal, Christopher Gorham plays a sightless CIA agent who helps Annie in her missions.

Perabo says she wants to see a crossover with USA series "White Collar," a show about a con man working with the FBI. In an appearance on "Today," Perabo and White Collar star Matt Bomer were speculating that CIA agent Walker could receive some kind of assistance from Bomer’s character Neal Caffrey for a shortened sentence in a potential plotline.

Clicker.com reports that on Today Perabo also spoke about how outed CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson was a technical adviser on the pilot of "Covert Affairs."

Perabo told the Christian Science Monitor that her character Annie Walker will be handling bigger cases and doing more international travel this season. According to buddytv.com, "Covert Affairs" will be visiting plenty of exotic locations in its second season. Their adventures will carry them to Paris, Puerto Rico and Istanbul.

Despite that kind of traveling, Perabo told South Jersey Magazine that she loved growing up in New Jersey. “The Jersey shore in autumn is one of the best beaches in the world,” she said. “Family camping trips were often in Bass River State Forest in Tuckerton.”

"Covert Affairs" second season returned to USA at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
