HBO’s NFL series "Hard Knocks" is back for another season, this time featuring the Miami Dolphins.
HBO Sports president Ken Hershman released a statement confirming the return of the reality series after a year hiatus.
“We are delighted that ‘Hard Knocks’ will be returning this summer and placing the spotlight on the Miami Dolphins, a venerable franchise that had an exciting off-season activity,” said Hershman in a statement.
According to the Boston Globe, "Hard Knocks" returns on Aug. 7. The season will consist of five one-hour episodes and will air on Tuesday nights.
In previous seasons of the documentary series, there have been five teams featured on the show: the Baltimore Ravens, Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and the New York Jets.
“On the 40th anniversary of the greatest season in NFL history--Don Shula’s perfect ’72 Dolphins -- it is perfectly fitting that Hard Knocks is heading to Miami to capture the start of a new era for one of the league’s proudest teams,” said NFL Films president Steve Sabol in a statement according to the Boston Globe. “ After Hard Knocks’ hiatus last summer, I know our team at NFL Films can’t wait to get back on the field.”
