Just a few months following the announcement for a sequel of “Dumb and Dumber,” central actor Jim Carrey pulled out of the movie.
Director Peter Farelly said in early April that the movie would feature both original leads, including Carrey and Jeff Daniels, playing Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas, respectively, from the original 1994 movie.
Despite disappointed fans, Daniels confirmed that there could be no film without Carrey.
Apparently Carrey expressed concerns that Warner Bros. and New Line lacked enthusiasm for the project, according to the National Post.
But Carrey hasn't completely ended his career with New Line and Warner Brothers. Yahoo! Movies reported that Carrey is to appear next year in their film, "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone."
