Ever have trouble figuring out what to give someone for their birthday? Actor Dax Shepard surprised fiancée Kristen Bell on her 31st birthday last summer with “something no one else will get in their lifetime.”

We all have our dreams and fantasies, but it turns out the "House of Lies" star had always wanted to come in contact with a sloth.

Bell anticipated that a sloth was her gift, and had a panic attack and began crying hysterically on her bed when Shepard told her the present had arrived. ABC News reports that she showed video footage of the moment on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

According to Mail Online, Bell admitted, “If I'm not between a three and a seven on the emotional scale, I'm crying.”

She described her realization that a sloth was nearby as “an eleven.”

E! Online reported that Bell said, “My entire life had been waiting for this moment, where I would get to interact—I'm serious—with a sloth."

That's right, Kristen. Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.

After Bell finished her story, DeGeneres followed with the introduction: "Let's bring out the cutest sloth…”, but it was just a joke. Meanwhile, Bell was on the verge of hysterics again. Near tears, she said, "My heart is beating so fast. Why would you do that?"

Bell said she got to spend some time with her favorite pet later that night.

“I was having a birthday party later that evening and they set up a little habitat," said Bell. "She just hung out on a little jungle gym for three hours.”
