Project Runway’s Tim Gunn has disclosed personal information about his sex life – or lack thereof.
The topic was discussed Tuesday on the ABC talk show The Revolution, when the fashion guru confessed he hadn’t been sexually active with anyone for 29 years, People reports.
“I haven’t had sex in 29 years. Do I feel like less of a person for it? No. Not even remotely,” he said.
When questioned further about his sex life, Gunn, 58, revealed it was psychological. He said it was a decision that resulted from a past relationship.
"I was in a very intense relationship for a long time and my partner ended it, saying quite frankly that he was impatient with my sexual performance,” he explained. “It was at the cusp of AIDS, and I think a lot of people simply retreated because they were concerned about their health. I certainly was. I'm happy to be healthy and alive, quite frankly."
According to People, Gunn is at peace. He said he's "a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual."
And although he has stood by his decision all these years, Gunn does not consider himself a “barren forest," adding he hasn’t sworn off intimacy just yet.
He said, "I don't want to imply to anyone that I have a mandate that says 'no sex.' I don't. I don't know what's around the corner.”
