Randy Jackson tweeted today that he was afraid the executors and lawyer of Michael Jackson’s estate are trying to kill his mother. “It is my fear and belief, that they are trying to take my mother’s life,” he said. The people he says are harming his mother Katherine are executors John Branca and John McClain and their attorney Howard Weitzman. Among Randy’s claims are “that the same people that are trying to manipulate my mother are the same people that were involved with my brother when he died.”
In his long tweet, Randy also said that TJ Jackson, Tito’s oldest son, lied to the court to obtain temporary guardianship of Prince, Blanket and Paris.
On July 15 Katherine left her grandchildren for her daughter Rebbie’s house in Tucson. She didn’t contact her grandchildren for more than 10 days, which led to Paris’s tweets expressing how distraught she was at her grandmother’s disappearance and her inability to contact her. What followed was Jackson family in-fighting that played out on Tweeter and in the media.
This has led to an investigation by Superior Court Judge Mitchel Beckloff’s into the care and welfare of Michael Jackson’s three children. After interviewing the three children and as a result of the investigator’s report, the judge gave TJ Jackson co-guardianship of Michael Jackson’ three grandchildren Paris, Blanket and Prince with Katherine Jackson. Katherine has agreed to this arrangement and through her lawyer Perry Sanders issued a statement according to Roger Friedman, who knows more about the Jacksons that anyone else on earth.

Basically, this will just legally reflect how Katherine and TJ have shared the responsibility of raising Michael Jackson’s kids up to now but will empower TJ to make day-to-day decisions concerning the children, including management of household staff and security, which he didn’t have while Katherine was in Tucson. According to Friedman, Katherine will be able to enjoy her grandchildren and still have control of the children’s allowance of a reported $70,000 a month.
TJ being awarded co-guardianship with his mother didn’t go down well with Randy Jackson who seems to be so desperate that the only resort he has is to Tweet his complaints. Among his claims, “Rebbie, Janet, Jermaine and I would never harm our mother and we are doing our best to protect her and the Estate knows that. I want to know why Perry Sanders would consider a negotiation based on lies.”
Something to keep in mind is that Katherine is 82 and the care of three young children, two of them teenagers, would be taxing for someone half her age. Leaving her grandchildren for more than 10 days was just bizarre and there is some concern for her mental stability. Meanwhile, we wonder how TJ, who is only 34, has the time and experience to care for his three first-cousins.
Randy also claimed in his tweet that in the past, “When TJ asked my mother if he should ask for temporary guardianship, my mother told TJ NO—twice.” So did she? If so, why did she have a change of heart? Why doesn’t Randy just ask her? What’s also strange and depressing about his long tweet, as Friedman points out, is that neither he nor his siblings, Rebbie, Janet or Jermaine, have expressed any concern for Michael’s children. He’s more ticked off that they were denied access to their niece and nephew’s house in Calabasas, California, where Katherine also lives.
After her cousin TJ was awarded co-guardianship of her and her brothers, Paris tweeted, “Together we stand, divided we fall.”
