Something being called a senior “prank” got badly out of hand this morning in Teaneck.
Teaneck High was vandalized by over 60 members of the school’s senior class early Thursday.
NorthJersey.com reported that students entered the school at about 2 a.m. and broke chairs and desks, wrote graffiti on the walls, littered the halls, and even urinated, according to police. Sixty-two students were arrested in all.
Several local police departments responded to the burglary alarm.
"I've been a police officer 19 years, and this is the craziest thing I've ever seen," said Teaneck Police Sergeant John Garland, according to NBC New York. Several students were alleged to have told police their actions were part of a senior class prank.
