Birthers pressured over Obama birth certificate

The question of President Barack Obama's birth just doesn't want to go away.

During a recent interview on the O’Reilly Factor, potential 2012 Presidential candidate Donald Trump reiterated that he doesn't think President Obama was born in the United States and that he is not showing his birth certificate because it might prove that he is a Muslim.

Karl Rove feels that the right wing base of the Republican party doesn’t necessarily care about the issues of the birthers.

Business Insider reports that Rove said, “There is an element inside the Republican party, and outside the Republican party, that's fallen in love with this but the majority of Republicans and the vast majority of Americans accept that he a U.S. citizen capable of being president."

The Obama campaign posted the Certification of Live Birth in two Hawaii newspapers showing that President Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Many birthers believe he was born in Kenya.

According to thirdage.com, even former President Bill Clinton has issued a warning to Republicans with regards to the issue of “birthers” within their ranks: Don't go there.

Clinton sounded off on ABC's “Good Morning America about the issue, saying, "If I were them, I'd be really careful riding that birther horse too much. Everyone knows it's ludicrous."

FactCheck.org staffers say they have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate, and conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. They report claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false.

Politifact.com says if this document is forged, a U.S. senator and his presidential campaign have perpetrated a vast, long-term fraud. They have done it with conspiring officials at the Hawaii Department of Health, the Cook County (Ill.) Bureau of Vital Statistics, the Illinois Secretary of State's office, the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois and many other government agencies

And dailyindia.com reports that Vice President Joe Biden's daughter Ashley has slammed Trump for questioning Obama’s birthplace.

Ashley posted some choice words on her Facebook page for the real estate giant, saying "This discussion or debate over whether or not President Obama has an American birth certificate is just so insulting.”

"Boycotting the Apprentice!" she added later.

If I can obtain my certificate after 67 years from a small west texas town, then surely the president of the U.S. can shuffle up to Honolulu for his. Personally I think a lot of wool has been pulled over America's eyes. But then I read his books before he was hoisted up the flag pole. And what did I read that he had a preference for the beliefs, ethics, politics, religion, etc. etc. of his Father's Dreams. My Great Great Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Father and me the father of my children chose to prefer this country's foundational ideology. As for Barack Sr. well he hiked on back to Kenya and joined with the African Socialist. Surprise Surprise. Barry Baby charmed about 40 million white folks who he could be sure had not read his books. Geez. Oh and for you folks who'd like to say "well that's a white racist for you" I would have voted for Colin Powell faster than a minnow can swim through a dipper net. Thank you for your time.

Do the Birthers and Trump not care about the truth? Or can't you stand the idea of a black man with a funny sounding name being president? Trump's reasons are that he is a media Whore whose Apprentice Show was tanking in the ratings UNTIL he came out as a Birther. You need to look deep in your heart for your reasons.

-Obama didn't spend millions to hide his records. That was reported by WND a couple of years ago.. They used the words "may have". Turns out he didn't and they were called on it. Now they say "may have spent hundreds of thousands", which is another way of saying they really have no idea.
Just last week they were busted for claiming that Obama's picture of him with his grandparents in NYC was photoshopped. Turns out the "actual picture" of just his grandparents somehow had Obama's leg still left in the picture.. Ooops.. No retraction yet.. Not surprising, as I consider WND to be nothing more than tabloid journalism.

It is impossible to show something that does not exist.

All we are allowed to see is the Certification of Live Birth because that is that he has. A document easily available to women who lived in Hawaii in the 1960's and gave birth outside of the State.

The Daily Pen looked at Birth Announcements in the Hawaii papers from 1960 to 1965 and found more than 1,200 women who got Hawaii birth documents and newspaper announcements even though they had given birth somewhere other than Hawaii.

They also found at least 300 of those women had given birth in another country.

If 300 other women gave birth outside of America and still got birth documents from Hawaii and newspaper announcements then so could Obamas mother.

The Certification of Live Birth and birth announcements prove Obama was born not where he was born.

That is why even before Obama was born Hawaii didn't accept Certifications of Live Birth as proof of place of birth.

We shall never see Obamas Birth Certificate because one does not exist. That's why we shall never see Obamas Birth Certificate with a Hospitals name and a Doctors signature because there never was one.

If you look at the "Certificate of Live Birth" purported to be Obama's original document, you will will notice that under the heading of Father's race is listed as African. All other BC's in that timeframe show a black person's race either as negro or negroid . Why is Obama's the ONLY BC that says African ???? Sucks when political correctness bites the Dem's in the behind, doesn't it !!!!

Not to be picky, how can FactCheck.org staffers say they have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate? I thought that the orignal could not be released. Didn't they see a print out from a data base that had a State of Hawaii seal?

Nevertheless, I wonder how Obama's mother started school in Washington state 6 weeks after Obama's birth. Regardless of what the truth is, I think we can safely say that Obama is like all politicians.

Agreed. Along with every person from his campaign who KNEW he wasn't Constitutionally qualified. It's gonna one one gawdawful holy mess out here when it hits the fan. There is no long form birth crertificate. The state of Hawaii says BO was born there. Let the states decide if more proof is needed, and let the press finally do its job. Where are all his other records? from SAT scores to health records.

IF Barack Obama or Barry Soetoro, what ever his name is, was not born in the United States he can't be Prsident and should be forced to step down. He should also be sent to prison for treason.

Since we all 'know' that most important information on the BC is already out there (ie: Born in HI, 1961, to his mom and dad, etc), what will be different after we see the BC? Answer: NOTHING. Therefore, there can be NO REASON that the BC can't be made public. Unless, of course, it DOESN'T say what we've been told. Either way, sooner or later, hopefully the former, it WILL COME OUT. It's NOT an if, only a when. THEN, wait to see the ramifications hit the proverbial fan. This can come to no good end.

If so many people have touched and felt and examined and kissed and hugged and published photos of Obama's birth certificate, why has he spent millions in legal battles trying to keep it hidden it from the public.

All the women from the view, including Barbara Walters, have not seen it. Barbara Walters is one of the most powerful people in journalism, if she can't get it it either doesn't exist or it's being hidden. She knew Trump was coming on the show and was going to talk about it, why not go see it and say, "Donald, I saw it myself". Why hasn't she or O'Reilly or anyone other national journalist seen it?

No one is able to say, "Yes, I saw it, it exists". They just say "others have seen it" or "birthers are a little nuts". Can't they just hand the thing over to Katie Couric and let her air it on the news?

Your link to Factcheck links to a 2008 assertion by Factcheck that they have touched, examined & photographed the "original birth certificate". Baloney. The photos they released were of the Certification Of Live Birth, that's all. And no one else has been allowed to examine it. Are you stupid, or (more likely) do you think your readers are?

Obviously, he doesn't want anyone to see his birth certificate.

Pres. Barack Obama aught to produce his birth certificate to prove he was born in the United States of America, which would lay to rest the never-ending suspicion that he's not a bona-fide a citizen.

But the suspicion is, indeed, ligit. because why would he spend a fortune ($2M - so they say) in legal fees to prevent the document being made public. Food for thought.

If we are going to check for undocumented workers, we need to check everyone.

What’s “insulting” is people act like it’s a big deal for the president to produce a birth certificate.

What’s the big deal? I’ve had to produce my several times. Most recently to complete an I9 form at work to verify I was allowed to work in the US. I didn’t feel insulted.
