"Mama Mia" star Michelle Dawson, who one critic wrote "continued to wow the audience with every number she sang," will hopefully perform one of the many Abba hits from the show - we're hoping "Money Money Money" - at a fundraiser at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Dec. 7 for families in New Jersey still struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy .
She'll be joined by other stars from the New York and New Jersey stage, including singer-songwriter Matt DeMarco, Teddy Coluca (Broadway's "The Ritz," "30 Rock"), Kevin Kern (Broadway's "Les Miz," "Wedding Singer," "Wicked," Papermill Playhouse's "Curtains") and Elizabeth Nicolas Synnott ("Barefoot in the Park," "Masterclass," at Carnegie Hall). More Broadway caliber-artists will be announced to perform at the decidely non-Broadway ticket price of $10.
Bridge Studio for the Performing Arts Benefit Concert, who is presenting the concert, will donate 100 percent of all money raised to those affected by the storm. The concert is Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 344 Washington Ave, Dumont, N.J.
