In a league all by herself is the tiny, ever-endearing Marylouise Burke as a senior citizen who Meena encounters in the underwear section of a department store. This mildly daffy character doesn’t add up to much other than an inspirational figure of sorts for Meena, but Burke puts her distinctively adorable stamp on it. (Would Roundabout please star this delightful actress as Mrs. Laura Partridge in a revival of “The Solid Gold Cadillac?”)
“Rx” continues through March 3 at 59E59 Theaters, 59 E. 59th St., New York. Call (212) 279-4200 or visit www.primarystages.org.
