An investigation is still ongoing into the death of a married couple in their Morris County home on Sunday.
The couple had recently moved into their home on 12 Log Road in Jefferson Township.
New Jersey Herald reported that Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Jefferson Police Chief Kevin Craig said in a statement that 47-year old Alita Knott, and 45-year old Julian Knott were found in the home at 1:12 a.m. Sunday. “The investigation did not reveal any evidence of outside intrusion into the home and there is no cause for concern to the community,” the men said.
Jefferson police received a report of two unconscious adults at the residence, and Officers Tim Hecht and Dave Wroblewski found the Knotts, according to New Jersey Herald. No further information and the cause of death have yet been released.
The home was a two-story, four-bedroom, four-bathroom house, according to NJ.com. The couple had purchased the home in April for $600,000.
