Asked whether he will run for reelection as Governor next year, Governor Christie dodged the question at a Town Meeting on Tuesday in Freehold.

The question was asked by a middle-school boy, during the one-half hour Q & A period. Christie told the audience of 500, “This is a 24/7 job. I enjoy the work. I look at my name on my office door and say to myself ‘How did I get here?” The comments received laughs from the audience.

At the same time, he said, he misses not being able to go to all his son’s ball games. And he quipped, “Now I drive.” More laughs.

The Governor noted that a lot of people and some of the media are against him because he is so blunt.

“I say what I think. I say what I feel. I say what I want to do. Everyone knows exactly where I stand.”

Getting back to the boy’s original question, Christie said “I’ll make the decision when I have to.”

He alluded to the end of this year.
