Last year Philadelphia Sixers star Andre Iguodala signed a six-year contract said to be worth $80 million.
Thursday a South Jersey woman sued him saying she needed $12,000 to $15,000 a month in temporary child support to care for their newborn.
Clayanna Warthen, 23, of Clementon, filed suit in Camden County court claiming she has no income to care for the couple's six-week old child, London Iguodala.
According to philly.com, Warthen alleges she has had to file for health insurance through the state of New Jersey. Her attorney, Richard C. Klein of Spector Gadon & Rosen, of Moorestown, filed the suit.Efforts to resolve the matter out of court have not succeeded, Iguodala's attorney, Charles J. Meyer of Elliott Greenleaf & Siedzikowski, of Blue Bell, told Philly.com. "In spite of those efforts, the demands that were made were beyond what is reasonable."
Meyers said Iguodala wants to "generously provide" for the child and will try to reach an agreement out of court.
