Cleveland Browns: Grade for 2011 NFL Draft picks

brownshel042611_optTraded down in the draft with the Falcons, grabbing an additional second round pick and a first round pick in 2012. Then the Cleveland Browns traded back up to draft Phil Taylor, the best nose tackle in this year’s draft. Added pass rushing end Jabaal Sheard. In Taylor and Sheard, they addressed the defensive line, the team’s most pressing need. They addressed the wide receiver position in the 2nd round picking Greg Little from North Carolina who did not play in 2010 and will be judged in comparison to wide receiver Julio Jones who the Browns could have selected had they kept the pick. Got value and did not reach with any of the picks. The draft will be judged by how the Falcons do with Jones and what Cleveland does with Atlanta’s first round pick next year.
