SETON HALL NOTES: Seton Hall (12-9, 3-7) has lost three straight, but returns home for a pair of games on Thursday (Notre Dame) and DePaul (Sunday). Most recently, the Pirates lost at No. 22 Pittsburgh, 83-68, on Saturday. The Pirates were without guard Keon Lawrence, who missed the trip due to personal matters. Jordan Theodore was limited due to a bout of turf toe. Both are expected to play against Notre Dame. For the season, Hazell leads the Pirates and ranks second in the conference with 22.0 points per game. Herb Pope leads the Big East with 10.9 rebounds per game in his first season in a Pirates uniform.
NOTRE DAME NOTES: The Fighting Irish enter the game with a 17-7 overall record and a 6-5 mark in the Big East play. Since losing four out of five games, Notre Dame has bounced back nicely with home victories over Cincinnati and South Florida. Most recently, they downed the Bulls, 65-62, on Sunday. Luke Harangody leads the Irish and the Big East in scoring with a 24.5 points per game average. Tim Abromaitis and Ben Hansborough are also averaging in double-figures in scoring. Notre Dame is only 1-4 on the road this season.
THE SERIES: Seton Hall and Notre Dame will meet for the 23rd time in history on Thursday. The Fighting Irish own a 15-7 all-time series lead and have won six straight and nine out of 10 games. The Pirates last victory in the series came at the Meadowlands on Feb. 5, 2003. This game will feature the top two scorers in the Big East Conference, Luke Harangody (24.5 ppg.) and Jeremy Hazell (22.0 ppg.).

LAST GAME FOR PIRATES: A historic snowstorm buried Pittsburgh and created havoc with Seton Hall's travel throughout the city. Several Pirates played well, but could not defeat the Panthers for a second time in 13 days falling 83-58 on Feb. 6. Three Pirates scored in double-figures, Eugene Harvey, Robert Mitchell and Jamel Jackson. Jeremy Hazell, who entered the game averaging a league second-best 23.0 points per game, was held to just two points by the Panthers' defense.
