The Oakland Raiders did not have a first round pick. Stefen Wisniewski is a good pick in the second round. He will start at either guard or center. Raiders addressed their two most pressing needs in the offensive line and secondary. But other than Wisniewski, the rest of the draft is a lot of reaches, players being selected one to two rounds ahead of where they were expected to go. Cornerback Demarcus Van Dyke was a need pick for the Raiders as they had to replace Nnamdi Asonugha. Offensive tackle Joe Barksdale LSU had first round talent, but questionable work habits. They got extra picks in this year’s draft courtesy of a trade with New England but gave up a second round pick in next year’s draft to do it.
