The San Diego Chargers could have chosen defensive end Cameron Jordan, but went inside with defensive tackle Corey Liuget, one of the top defensive tackles in the draft. Addressed secondary and linebacker positions, with cornerback Marcus Gilchrist out of Clemson and Jonas Mouton, a linebacker out of Michigan, where help was needed. Nothing against Liuget, but San Diego needed a pass rushing defensive end, and did not get one in the draft.
