The San Francisco 49ers would have loved to take Patrick Peterson with 7th pick, but Arizona beat them to it. Aldon Smith is a good pass rushing defensive end. Quarterback Colin Koepernick is the quarterback of the future. Used three picks to shore up secondary, but Peterson or Amukamara would have provided immediate help for a secondary that gave up 25 touchdown passes in 2010. This draft may produce down the road, but there does not appear to be any big immediate payoff in the short term.
