Just a couple of years ago, Rick Porcello was mowing down batters for Seton Hall Prep. Now the 20-year-old is doing it for the Detroit Tigers.
The Chester native earned his first Major League victory in just his second start Sunday, when he bested Seattle, pitching seven innings and retiring his final 14 batters in order. He allowed just one run on five hits in the 8-2 Detroit victory.
