The Tennessee Titans clearly needed a quarterback, but eighth pick was too early to take Jake Locker. Like the Vikings, they could have traded down, accumulated picks and still had him, or another quarterback. Passed on Nick Fairley and a lot of other defensive lineman to take Locker, failing to address a glaring need along the defensive line until the third round with the pick of Jurrel Casey from USC. The only reason the Titans did not get the same C- grade that the Minnesota Vikings did is because the Titans drafted Akeem Ayers in the second round. Ayers was the second best linebacker in the draft behind Von Miller and should start immediately.
Grade: C+
