A warm front continues to lift northeast this morning towards New England over the New York City metropolitan area with scattered showers while the Philadelphia metropolitan area warms rapidly into the 50s already this morning.
The warm front will clear the New York City metropolitan area by this afternoon leading to scattered to variable clouds throughout the region. As winds shift to the southwest at 5 to 15 mph, temperatures will rise into the lower to mid 60s throughout the region. These temperatures are 15 to 20 degrees above normal.
A cold front will follow by tonight with additional scattered showers through early tomorrow morning. Winds will veer from the southwest to northwest at 5 to1 5 mph. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s for lows tomorrow morning and rebound into the mid to upper 50s for early afternoon highs. Temperatures will then fall through the 40s for the rest of the afternoon with much colder conditions in place by the evening.
High pressure will be in control for tomorrow night on through Thursday with scattered clouds and a return to near to slightly below normal temperatures. Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to mid 30s for morning lows and rebound into the mid to upper 40's for highs.
A warm front will slowly move through the region on Saturday and Sunday with scattered showers and variable clouds. Variable clouds will continue to remain in place on Monday. Temperatures will be mild with lows in the lower to mid 40s and highs in the mid to upper 50s.
