Dry yet chilly weather conditions will be in place today as high pressure moves over the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas this afternoon. Winds will be light and variable while temperatures will rebound into the lower to mid 30's for highs this afternoon.

The high pressure system will exit off the coast as clouds increase towards morning. As a cold front approaches from the Great Lakes tomorrow morning, winds will develop from the south at 5 to 10 mph. Temperatures will fall into the upper 10's to upper 20's for lows with the warmest conditions along the coast and over the Philadelphia metropolitan areas.

The cold front will move through tomorrow afternoon with scattered snow showers leading to accumulations of a trace to as much as two inches of snow in a few isolated snow showers. Temperatures will rise into the upper 20's to lower 30's for highs.

An area of low pressure will approach from the Tennessee River Valley on Saturday with the threat for snow, sleet, and rain for the morning hours.

All snow is expected over the northwestern interior locations of northeastern Pennsylvania, northwestern New Jersey, the Hudson River Valley, and Connecticut with accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected with isolated higher amounts up to 6 inches. However, a change over to rain is expected along the coast and over the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, limiting snowfall amounts to 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts up to 3 inches. Temperatures will range from the upper 10's to mid 20's for lows and mid to upper 30's for highs.

High pressure will take control Saturday afternoon on through Tuesday with scattered to variable cloud cover. Temperatures through this period will range from the mid 20's to mid 30's for lows and upper 30's to lower 50's for highs.

A cold front will move through the region on Wednesday morning with scattered showers. Temperatures will fall back to normal with lows in the upper 10's to upper 20's and highs in the mid 30's to mid 40's.
