As yet another Pacific disturbance races through the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan area this morning, a few scattered showers will pass through this morning. However, as skies clear this afternoon, temperatures will soar into the upper 50's to mid 60's for highs. With record temperatures for this date in the mid to upper 50's, the potential for several records to be broken this afternoon is a real threat, especially for locations like central and southern New Jersey where temperatures could touch 65 degrees for a high.

The mild conditions will continue into this evening with variable cloud cover and isolated showers. Temperatures will fall off into the mid to upper 30's for lows and then rebound into the mid 50's to mid 60's for highs tomorrow afternoon.

A strong cold front will move through the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan areas tomorrow evening with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. While none of the thunderstorms are expected to be severe, heavy downpours and occasional lightning will be a threat along with wind gusts up to 45 mph. The cold front will exit by early Saturday morning with slow clearing through the day on Saturday. Temperatures will be much colder with highs in the lower to mid 40's over the interior and mid to upper 40's along the coast.

High pressure will be in control Sunday on through Tuesday with scattered cloud cover and seasonable temperatures. Temperatures will range from the mid 20's to lower 30's for lows and mid 40's to mid 50's for highs.

Another cold front is expected by Wednesday with scattered showers and seasonable temperatures. Temperatures will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's for lows and lower to mid 40's for highs.
