On the day that Verizon introduced their new pricing by usage plans, the company quietly rolled out the Motorola Droid 3.
Cnet reports the Droid is available now online for $199.99 with a two-year contract, or the full price of $459.99, and is expected in stores by July 14.
According to Time, Verizon is marketing their new addition as the "world's thinnest full QWERTY" in addition its new features. Although the lack of 4G connectivity may turn off some customers, the phone is able to act as a 3G Mobile Hotspot and can connect to 5 Wi-Fi-enabled devices at a time.
PCMag.com reports the Droid 3 can be used in more than 200 countries. The Droid 3 comes with enterprise-level security options, along with device and SD card encryption, remote wipe, and complex password support. It also can access t the Android Market, which has over 200,000 apps.

The Droid 3 features a slide-out, five-row QWERTY keyboard like the original Droids. It has a 4-inch qHD display, and an 8-megapixel camera than can record 1080p HD video. The Droid also packs a dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, There is also a front-facing camera for video calls, and it is preloaded with Skype mobile.As reported by New Jersey Newsroom, new customers interested in purchasing the Droid 3 will need to subscribe to the new Verizon usage plans and data packages that went into effect as of today.
