Bernice Burgos of Palisades Park arrested for allegedly striking 14-year-old girl

burgosbernice121510_optBergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced Wednesday the arrest of Bernice Burgos, 30, of Palisades Park, on endangering the welfare of a child charges.

The arrest came about as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit, under the direction of Chief Steven Cucciniello and the Palisades Park Police Department, under the direction of Captain Benjamin Ramos.

On December 14, 2010, members of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit and the Palisades Park Police Department arrested Burgos after learning that she physically struck a fourteen year old female acquaintance. The incident occurred on December 13, 2010 in Palisades Park, N.J.

Burgos was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree crime.

Bail was set by Judge Donald Venezia for Burgos at $7,500.
