handcuff121409_optOn Wednesday, members of the Union County Homicide Task Force arrested an 18-year-old man and charged him with last week's shooting death of a Plainfield teenager, said Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.

Leobardo Gandarilla of Bound Brook is charged with 1st Degree Murder in the death of Spencer Cadogan, who was gunned down on the 1200 block of West Front Street on November 11, 2010.

Working closely with the Plainfield Police Department, the Homicide Task Force was able to gather evidence and statements that led them to identify Gandarilla as a suspect. He was arrested at his home without incident, said Romankow. The Bound Brook Police Department also assisted in the investigation.

Gandarilla is being held at the Union County Jail on $1 million bail.
