Marcia Deborah Weissman of Yardley, Pa., the wife of Dan Weissman, who was a longtime New Jersey Statehouse reporter for The Star-Ledger of Newark, died Sunday from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. She was 69 years old.
Marcia was a retired auditor for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Born and raised in The Bronx, she and Dan married in 1962. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from then-Trenton State College.
She is survived by Dan, who provided her constant and loving care throughout her illness, and their sons, Neil of West Chester, Pa., Chuck of Hermosa Beach, Ca., and Glen of Bellevue, Wa.
Marcia’s funeral is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at Roosevelt Cemetery in Trevose, Pa. where a graveside service will take place. The family will sit Shiva Wednesday afternoon and Thursday at 915 Pickering Dr., Yardley.
