On Sunday Nov. 18, business and locals in New Hope, Pa. will gather for a Hurricane Sandy charity event. New Hope for The Shore Benefit Concert and Collection Drive will be held at Havana, a local restaurant and bar, and will feature the participation of various local merchants and bands.
According to the event’s promotional ad, trucks will be collected donations all day.
The flyer also states:
“We are especially asking our young friends to bring a gently used, non-electronic or battery operated toy from their own toy chest or a book from their own bookshelf to donate to the victims of Sandy.
“Other items needed are medicines, cleaning supplies, blankets, coats, gloves, scarves and hats, boots, shoes, water and books.”
50/50s will run through the day as well as raffles and/or silent auctions.
The price per attendee is $10. Children under 14 are free.
