A school bus driver from Shamong allegedly drove a bus full of children around Monday afternoon while drunk. Police arrested and charged Carole Crockett, 46, with driving 25 children home with her blood alcohol level at three times the legal limit.

According to myfoxphilly.com, children from the Westampton Middle School were contacting their parents on their cell phones after Crockett had allegedly been falling asleep behind the wheel and swerving while driving the bus. Parents then got in touch with the school, who then alerted local police.

Phillyburbs.com reported that police arrested Crockett shortly before 4 p.m. at Holly Hills Elementary School, where she was trying to pick up more children.

Crockett submitted to breath samples showing she had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 percent. New Jersey's legal alcohol level limit is 0.08.

The Asbury Park Press reports that Crockett is being charged with 25 counts of driving under the influence with a minor, driving under the influence on school property, disorderly conduct, and 25 counts of endangering children’s welfare.

NBC Philadelphia reports that Crockett’s bail was $10,000 for disorderly conduct and $75,000 for endangering the welfare of a child. She posted the $85,000.

Crockett is scheduled to return to court Nov. 17.
