Days after a bi-partisan tenure reform bill was signed into action by Governor Christie, the same New Jersey Senator that proposed the original bill has proposed an even stricter one.
Senator Joe Kyrils (R-Monmouth) is aiming to address issues such as merit pay and the “last in, first out” policies, according to njtoday.net.
The “last in, first out” policy is a policy designed to protect teachers with seniority from getting laid off.
“These reforms allow public school districts to run most efficiently and ensure the best teachers, administrators and staff members are educating and nurturing our students,” Kyrillos told senatenj.com
Kyrillos will submit this bill at the next senate quorum.
