Want to show your Giants’ pride -- and help the state government make a few bucks?

The state Motor Vehicle Commission sells license plates featuring the official New York Giants logo for $60.

The Giants plate is just one of 23 different sports-theme license plates offered by the MVC.

“Sunday’s game was a huge win for Big Blue and our entire state, especially with the Super Bowl coming to New Jersey in 2014,” MVC Chief Administrator Raymond P. Martinez said Monday. “New Jersey motorists continue to show great interest in our specialty and dedicated license plate products. That’s why now is a great time to show team pride with your favorite local pro sports team featured prominently on your car’s license plate.”

Along with the Giants, the MVC sells plates that feature the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the New York Mets and Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and NASCAR with its 12 different plates.

Plates are available for purchase at www.njmvc.gov. Personalized sports plates are also available for an additional charge. Revenue generated from the sale of the plates goes to the state’s general fund.
