A true-to-life storyline that TNA or WWE wouldn't have written has left the wrestling ring and happened in Collingswood.

Nick Gage, a professional wrestler who mainly wrestles for the CZW promotion in Philadelphia, is being sought by police in New Jersey for allegedly robbing a bank last week.

Prowrestlingtorch.com reports the charge against Gage, whose real name is Nicholas Wilson, 30, reads that he stole $3,000 from a PNC Bank branch in Collingswood, N.J. on Wednesday afternoon, December 22 after threatening to shoot a bank teller if she did not hand over the money.

According to the Courier Post, on Thursday, authorities announced Wilson had been charged with the robbery after the public helped identify him. Police now are asking for the public's help in locating the whereabouts of the 6-foot, 1-inch, 225-pound man.

Wilson's last known address is Lakeshore Drive in Camden.

According to philly.com, in 2005 he was burned in a Combat Zone Wrestling tournament when he was thrown out of the ring into a platform of burning plywood.

In a YouTube video that apparently was supposed to be a public service announcement warning children not to imitate extreme wrestlers, he goes off on Combat Zone Wrestling and claims he was dead for 8 minutes after one bout.

CZW issued the following statement:

Combat Zone Wrestling, LLC has no direct knowledge of any alleged wrong doings by Nick Gage. We firmly discourage any fans from emulating any of the actions alleged. We also hope that if these accusations are true that Nick will turn himself over to authorities. If you have questions about Combat Zone Wrestling please feel free to contact CZW Owner DJ Hyde or CZW Vice President and Promoter Maven Bentley at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Sgt. William Townsend of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office at (856) 225-8400 or Detective Frank Lee of the Collingswood Police Department at (856) 854-2401.
