Today, 7-Eleven celebrates its 85th birthday with its annual free Slurpee give away, according to a press release on the company's website. 7-Eleven's partner, Six Flags, will also be offering a special admission price of $7.11 to guests after 7:11 p.m.
The company will be giving away free 7.11 oz Slurpees between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. today. The convenience store has been giving away these Slurpees on its birthday since 2002.
Patrons of 7-Eleven can get the special price from Six Flags when they present a receipt from a 7-Eleven purchase dated on today, July 11, 2012. Guests will also receive a VIP wristband at this time to attend the “Exclusive 7-Eleven Coasters After Dark” event this evening.
Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven president and CEO said, “This year we expect to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, more than ever before, beating last year’s offer by 2 million.”
The company is also offering free 7-Eleven party supplies on their website. The link can be found here.
