If you are planning a corporate holiday party or a gathering of friends, now is the time to reserve your space.
According to Steve Bidgood, Regional Partner of Salt Creek Grille, party bookings at its New Jersey locations in Rumson and Princeton have risen sharply in 2011- in fact, in Rumson, this year has seen the most holiday bookings since 2008. With early reservations on the rise, the availability of choice party locations like Salt Creek Grille is rapidly fading and Bidgood advises party planners to act quickly before the holiday season is fully booked.
However, consumers are savvy and, in this economy, look for the best ways to save. Salt Creek Grille’s Banquet Manager Barbara Penta offers these tips for party planners to realize savings when booking a party this holiday season:
1. Take advantage of early incentive bookings and get more for your money.
2. Sign up for email news for special promotions and give-a-ways.
3. Book parties on non-prime days, such as Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
4. Hold a Holiday Party Luncheon/Brunch instead of an event during the evening.
5. Hold a Holiday Party after the holiday rush in January or February.
Gift Certificates are also available and make great corporate gifts with added value. When you purchase $100, you receive a $25 reward card for yourself valid January – March 31, 2012. Call 732- 933-9272 at Salt Creek Grille, 4 Bingham Avenue, Rumson or609-419-4200 at Salt Creek Grille, Princeton Forrestal Village, Princeton.
Marilyn Schlossbach, Restaurateur/Owner of Kitschens Hospitality, agrees that booking your holiday party early offers great savings. By booking your holiday celebration before Christmas at one of her Asbury Park restaurants - Langosta Lounge (1000 Ocean Avenue), Trinity and the Pope (649 Mattison Avenue) or Dauphin Grille at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel (1401 Ocean Avenue), party planners can save 10 percent. If December is too busy, by booking a party in January, the savings will be 15%. And, if the planner mentions “Pickle’s Picks” when booking in December or January, Kitschens will include a $100 gift certificate valid at any of its venues.
