NEWJERSEYNEWSROOM.COM“Inspiring Women: A Celebration of Visual & Culinary Arts” will be presented on Monday, March 5 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. by The New Jersey Restaurant Association (NJRA) and the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation present at Hospitality House, NJRA Headquarters. The event, honoring Women’s History Month, is a collaboration that will include an exhibit of mixed media artwork, a tasting featuring top New Jersey restaurants and a silent auction. The reception will benefit the New Jersey Restaurant Association, the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
It is widely known that the culinary arts and the visual arts are closely aligned. In recognition of the close association, Betsy Alger of The Frog and The Peach, New Brunswick, and NJRA Vice Chair/Event Chair commented, “When we take the time to think about who has inspired us, I am clear that mostly it's the women in our lives. I am thrilled that we have made a connection between the women who are leaders in the culinary arts and those who stand out in the visual arts, and acknowledge that they represent the creativity of all women as we all create and inspire every day.”
Some of the participants include: Cranbury Inn, Cranbury; D'Artagnan, Newark; Hudson County Community College, Jersey City; Langosta Lounge, Asbury Park; Kuzina by Sofia, Cherry Hill; Milford Oyster House, Milford; Restaurant Serenade, Chatham, and Terra Momo Restaurant Group, Princeton. Beer will be provided by The Ship Inn Restaurant & Brewery, Milford and Nicolas Wines will be served courtesy of Lionel De Ravel, Vice President/Sales, Luneau USA.
“Art Pride NJ is thrilled to be part of this special collaboration,” said Ann Marie Miller, Executive Director of the ArtPride NJ Foundation. “This event is a creative way to celebrate the extraordinary artistic and culinary skills of women throughout New Jersey.”
