The New Jersey Restaurant Association (NJRA) and the New Jersey Travel Industry awarded its Tourism Diamond Award to 6 eateries across the state at the recent Governor's Conference on Tourism.
In its sixth year, this award recognizes NJRA members for the unique and vital role they play in New Jersey's tourism industry.
The six eateries which captured the accolades are:
Salem City Café, Salem
The Stress Factory, New Brunswick
2 Senza Ristorante, Red Bank
The Grand Summit Hotel/Hunt Club Grill, Summit
Steve & Cookies by the Bay, Margate
Green Cuisine, Stone Harbor
"New Jersey tourism is a $38 billion industry and restaurants represent one-third of these sales," said Deborah Dowdell, President, New Jersey Restaurant Association. "The relationship between tourism and restaurants goes hand in hand."The NJRA represents owners and operators of full-service restaurants, catering facilities, taverns & pubs, brew pubs, diner restaurants, hotel restaurants, coffee shops, limited & quick service restaurants, institutional feeders, delis pizzerias, country clubs, culinary students and schools.
