2,5%on salary increases

So now, as a teacher, I have a 2.5% salary increase at best and I pay at least 1.5% for my medical benefits. I guess the State of New Jersey wants me to pay the State to work or perhaps I should work for nothing. I'm sure many in this state would like to see teachers work for nothing. Based on many vituprative comments , the citizens don't think we do anything now.

Is that the quality of what you teach to your students? In what way does a 1.5% employee portion to your CADILLAC health plan and a max raise of 2.5% constitute you working for nothing? I hope your not a MATH teacher. Besides, maybe if you union schmucks would agree to MERIT based evaluations for everything including salary incrreases AND if you keep your job, like the productive portion of the work sector does, then maybe higher then 2.5% would be a possibility.

But we can't have standards to measure your performance by can we........so sit down and shut up or go get a job that entails a little risk.

I'm a Federal employee and I pay 5% so stop whining
