Noyce has an uncanny ability to bring a raw, authentic edge to all his movies, Salt is no exception despite it's genre. Of Angelina, Noyce described how Ange's evolution has, in some ways, placed her in the drivers seat of action and he learned much from her in the making of the film. Angelina's acting versality is indisputable, except by those who havn't seen her films and argue from interest. Consider the juxtaposition the female characters in The Changeling and Salt - both very convincing portrayals to the point the audience can imbue the actual actor with similar characteristics...Joli has such incredible talent. As Clint Eastwood said, her beauty is distracting, but for those who see beyond the tabloid sensationslism, it is evident Angelina's talent continues to evolve with greater depths, she has an enduring quality and with the right vehicles may break many more molds in the future. Loved reading the review and it is consonant with that of other well considered critics.
