More jokes about NJ

Now comics have another reason to poke fun at NJ. We have a bully for a governor who pushes his way around this wonderful state and when the state is facing one of the worst flooding ever, Christie flies over the flooded area in a helicopter. May be he could not get out of then helicopter because of his size and actually talk to the people who voted for him (ha!) and talk to them and help them. He is a little dictator! School children will not pass the state exam to graduate because the older teachers will retire and there will be no new teachers in NJ because of the poor starting salaries and poor benefits. Let this governor go into a classroom for one full week and do what a dedicated full time teacher does for 10 months. By the way the other two months during the summer, the teachers are locked-out of their profession and since they pay into unemployment insurance, teachers cannot collect unemployment. Most people think that teachers are on vacation for eight weeks. The problem is that teachers do not get paid in the summer. Mr. Christie, who taught you in school to the point where you climbed the ladder of success. To refresh your memory, it was a TEACHER!

School costs comprise over 50% of a home owner's tax bill, the schools need a better way to be funded......the burden should be shared by every citizen not just property owners. Perhaps a Flat Tax of some sort, so that renters, and those sharing homes would contribute, as they do send their children to public schools, yet share no burden in funding them. Yes, public employees do have their benefits and pensions, but they DO NOT deserve to be singled out by Gov Christie...check our the 19th and 49the minutes of his interview and listen to what he says! Putting taxpayer against taxpayer, and by the way, public employees, pay taxes and have the same high cost of living in NJ as everyone as, is NOT the answer or a permanent solution. NJ needs to find a more equitable way to fund the public school where everyone shares not just property owners!
If the Governor (only one term) thinks that his word is law and everyone in NJ are shaking in their boots he is absolutely wrong. Every organization that he has targeted by cutting their budget, they will fight him and his followers to the very end.

Our senior citizens did not get a cost of living increase in Social Security and Mr. Christie did away with the rebates--who is he hurting the most--our Senior Citizens. The food banks are empty and they are begging people to support them so they can support/feed our seniors. May be the elderly will sign up for food stamps and that will put a strain on the counties. So will just go around in a circle and no one wins.

Mr. Christie open your eyes and look at the people directly into their eyes.

The governor is lying through his teeth. I contribute 5.5% of my annual income to my pension, and another chuck towards my health insurance.

Some districts do cover employee health benefits, however their salary takes a hit for it. It's essentially deducted from their salaries.

This monster is lying through his teeth.

He's cut a tax surcharge on the rich which accounts for 1 billion dollars in tax revenue - And refilled that hole by cutting 1 billion dollars from education. He's stolen from the middle class to feed the rich and send their kids to private schools (like his own children attend).
