I fail to see how any organisation concerned about the environment can back offshore wind farms, a relatively new technology whose impacts are not known. Most of the information about impacts of offshore wind farms has been produced by organisations (or government sponsored research programs )with a vested interest in promoting offshore wind. It flies in the face of experience to think that man can invade the ocean with thousands of tons of heavy equipment and not have a damaging effect on marine biodiversity Are the New Jersey Sierra Club suspending disbelief because wind is supposedly a "green" industry or are they applying the same rigorous analysis to this industry as they would to any other? Our oceans are already threatened. Surely this is a double whammy ! .
