Conceal and Carry is the only answer to defeat gun and other violence. In every state that has adopted 'shall issue conceal and carry', the crime rates have gone down significantly. Perhaps New Jersey should force its good citizens to buy one firearm per month as a minimum. ;)
The real purpose of gun control is to disarm law-abiding citizens and to make a police state controlled by corrupt politicians.
