So typical

Whether it is Salem, Indian Point or Vermont Yankee it is the same regulatory agency in charge and they have never found a plant that they didn't like. As long as it is in the inspection matrix they seem to think that there is no problem or danger to the public. It is hard to imagine all those on site NRC inspectors going in and out of the plant for all those years and not even noticing that there might be a problem with the structure. Not to mention a 30 year leak. If these aging structures are ever to be closed it will be because of political will - not the NRC. Marilyn Elie
