I would just like to say i watch this show over here in bonnie scotland and i love it, firstly i would like to say that Gayle is a lady and a very classy one, Christy and her gorgeous daughter are adorable, Anthony is a legend as is Lorenzo and Filly, Alexis cracks me up she is so funny, Briella comes out with the most random comments, Doria is real and i love her curves (dont ever change), Gigi and Frankie are made for each other (Frankie snr and Carla are brilliant) i love the whole family sitting round the table having dinner especially when Lorenzo joins them, but last but not least Tracey and Olivia, i love you both and you really need to bury the past cos if you two were mates yous would have a blast, so that leaves me to say smokey eye or die/the higher the hair the closer you are to heaven, and i still cant get the smokey eye or the high hair no matter how much i tease. I called Gatsby yesterday for an appointment and Tracy answered the phone so that proves these "actors" actually work there!!

I like Tracy in a weird way. I don't think she is Miss Proper and Polite but I also don't give into Olivia's innocence. They both need to tone it down on the make-up and accessories. Tracy needs a gym membership to get her anger out and lose her big hips and fat ass and Olivia needs to tone her make-up down. Also, her kicking Tracy in the head while she was unconcious proves she can be a real bitch too and is not all innocent like everyone says!

As for Gigi, look in the mirror and join a gym with Tracy. You look like a pug dog!!

I think Gayle needs to consider the type of people she has working for her...if I was the owner, half of them would be gone. But overall, I like Gayle.

No, they don't work at the gatsby. The gatsby is a real salon, but if you ring and book you won't get one of the girls doing your hair from the show.

The feuds are somewhat real, but played up a lot. Tracy and Olivia really hate each other, however Tracy is not as mean as what she is played out to be.

I love the show, and was DEVASTATED to find out it's not all real!

I cannot stand to look at Tracey. With out a doubt, she is very jealous of Olivia, and everyone realizes it but Tracey herself. Tracey has the balls to date Olivia's ex, but when Olivia does the same thing, Tracey has a problem with it. If I was Olivia, I would not have gone to Tracey to tell her that I was dating her ex, because Tracey did not show the same respect to Olivia. Tracey is a cheeky, selfish, hating bitch, and I really believe that Tracey wants to be like Olivia. I wish that I could have five minutes with that Tracey, for always wanting to start shit with Olivia. I just went into the Gatsby website and Anthony's salon and none of the girls where no where to be found in any of the their pictures or as an employee. I did see that fat cow Doria that is too fat to even be working there. But who cares about her. Wheres Olivia, Tracey, and GIGI. So is this all a bullshit show????? Don't fucking make a reality show if its not real. This will make people stop watching the show when they all find out that its fake. I saw the reunion part 1 and they all showed up with their licenses and certificates but is it real???

the show is scripted. if you type into google the gatsby salon and staff an article with gayle and her staff comes up. where is olivia, (bitch ass) tracy and doria. they get paid for the show. but, team olivia all the way.

Okay, I just started watching this show and it cracks me up! I love that these people say what's on their minds. I live here in California, and when you speak your mind people get offended. lol! I've never been to Jersey, but it makes me want to visit Jersey.

these guys come to work looking really mismatched. every salon I've been to has a uniform/dress code; the gatsby really should enforce one. I don't think I'd enjoy coming to a place where all this drama and confrontational behavior took place while people were cutting my hair, but it makes for really entertaining tv so props! any word on a third season?

that old song keeps playing in my head except it now goes like this "Gigi and Frankie were lovers" I have to say at first i dismissed frankie as a bada bing bada boom kind of guy but after watching him really try and make gigi happy by doing all the nice things he does for her - i have done a complete 180 and i think he is really adorable.. I think he and gigi are really cute togother and i hope they grow closer and more mature together because i believe in happy endings.

Gayle - ain't karma a bitch - you back stabbed olivia by taking away her promotion and saying that doria was on an equal level with her and doria was so nasty to olivia saying how much more experienced she was cuz she was older - and lo and behold karma came and gave olivia the chance to be lead makeup artist at Anthony's salon and also be awarded the honor of being in NJfashion week- while Doria choked at her fashion week tryout and you had to come to her rescue. The only style I've seen from most of them is what not to wear. That gives me a brilliant idea - I'd love to see Stacy and Clinton re-style Olivia. I totally agree with you. I used to record the Jerseylicious series, look forward to seeing it weekly but now that Dumb Dumpy Doria is sickening to hear and look at!!!!!!!! Gayle, what the hell??? I have since cancelled my weekly recording. Once Doria is booted out i'll que my DVR again. Until then......i'll just have to live off of the pre-Doria days.

Gayle, I wish you would watch the show and see what we see. Your former employee Doria is everything that Olivia says and more.
Unfortunately, your former employee (who keeps reminding you this wouldn't happen at the Old Gatsby) needs to understand that this is 2011, not 2005. Things change and she needs to change as well. She is really a nasty backstabbing person, who has a complex about everything. Her weight, her ego, her job, etc.
You will lose more than just a few customers with her know everything attitude.

Ok, is Gayle really as moronic as this show is portraying her or is this yet another shining example of fake reality TV completely scripted with a producer-written ending already determined at the beginning of the season? Gayle acted as if she was over the Olivia/Tracy drama, then once they settled down, she had her own episodes of drama and unprofessionalism with Alexa. Now she hires the most dramatic trainwreck to hit that show yet. Gayle gives Olivia a raise then immediately takes it away from her for absolutely no reason. Why would Olivia stay??? Then, a NEW employee at an equal level decides to take it upon herself to "mold" Olivia by constantly calling her makeup "drag queen looking" in front of her clients and giving her unsolicited makeup tips by going behind her back to touch up her clients when she steps away for a minute. Now if this is indicative of mature, team player mentality, I need to be institutionalized yesterday because I'm seeing something else entirely.

Again, Gayle can not POSSIBLY be this stupid.... and Style Network, neither are your viewers. Smarten up... I know this is for drama and ratings but please, save the contrived, unbelievable, poorly scripted outcomes. This show is juicy enough without such obvious sabotage by production. I'm quickly going from a die-hard fan to disinterested. Fire Doria and stop insulting your viewers. Just give us the believable, hilarious Jersey drama everyone has come to love!!!

Its Dora the explosive, as someone put it, does everything that she wanted to push Olivia out of the picture. she basically destroyed her. Is Olivia still at the Gatsby? The website doesn't say anything about any of the staff. Maybe Diareah - dorareah- whatever - can give diet tips while she does make-up. She is obnoxious. Olivia is the sweetest person on the show. What's up with GiGi's blond skunk highlights? She'd look much better without them. I hope GiGi and Frankey aren't together any more.
How much of this show is "REAL" and how much is for TV? If they want people to stop watching - they need to keep Tracy and Dorareah - and rename it DragQueenalicious.

First of all - I have never posted on any show that I watch and I had accidently got started watching Jerseylicous and I did like it but now I'm starting to get sick of the BS.

I hope that once Gayle watches the show back and sees how Doria spoke to Olivia she will realize that the wrong girl is taking a week off. I'm a business owner and I think that Gayle needs to step back and read between the lines. She says that she is the owner and boss but I think she has a match set with Doria - next episode Gayle is sweeping the floors and Doria is getting a foot massage from Filippo.

I have read all of the comments and I am so outdone...I realize a lot of these reality shows are overrated and there's nothing REAL about them, but if they think adding an annoying, abusive, attacking, obviously jealous, insecure, and NOT a good make up artist, to the show for "kicks" was cute, it is not. That Daria girl is plain weird...do you look at her eyes crossing and rolling as she talks. Gayle is a true "blonde" if she does not see that this girl is not only OCD'd out, but she actually thinks she's co-owner of the salon. I am in my thirties and hearing this chick just dog poor Olivia like she does and blames it on experience is INSANE. there is no reason why Olivia should be fired nor suspended when is that new so called make-up artist who is causing problems. Yes Olivia is young, but Doris is very nasty. It's hard to believe that she was not put there to stir the pot now that the Olivia and Tracey drama has calmed down. Doria is so annoying!! After last night's show I am so fed up with the way Olivia is treated. I thought Tracy was a piece of shit (and she is) but the dorkia broad makes me want to throw up in my mouth. I am from NJ and like to see that we have a show that is not the Jersey Shore. For those of you bad mouthing the show - grow up and stop watching it then. The show is based on a salon with some drama and includes their lives. - so what is the problem. Jerseylicious has become my most guilty pleasure. I have even found a reason to like Tracy - when she was in TX talking to those ladies about teasing hair, I saw a side that doesn't show often. She seemed informative and she did it with personality and humor.

The logo has bothered me for a while. I get that it's the G and its mirror image. However, it struck me today that it looks like breasts. Based upon the wardrobe of nearly everyone, I'm thinking that it might just be breasts. And while on the topic of breasts, I'd like to see a little less of Alexa's.

Tracy is rude..obnoxious.. the fact they considered her for managment is outragious. Let me just say this... i would NEVER go into a salon where there was a loud mouth rude person yapping about everyone and their mother while doing my hair. Tracy is getting to the point now where she is bad mouthing mangament...the people signing her checks.. how dumb is this girl? I understand that she is on the show and employed just to gain viewers but when the show has lost its luster they really need to get their heads on right when it comes to their employees. Hey Guys, I am just so hooked on the show it just blows me away that everyone is so dedicated to their work, but at the same time really bitchy and competitive. I think everyone at the Salon are hard and dedicated workers. I am from Australia living really remote in an aboriginal community it is so nice to watch and see the modern world. I love all the dramas as I dont have any myself. You go girls your making it big and should be proud!

On one episode, when Tracy told Lorenzo (Olivia's ex) to come to the salon to further rub it in her face, it made me think Tracy was so desperate to show Olivia she has her sloppy seconds. Olivia just carried on unphased. But because she did bring him to her work place for a PDA moment, it almost got them both fired (even though Olivia didn't react to her threat). But in another scene, later that day, the coupe were in a store looking for some protein shake mix (Tracy bored out her mind, obviously didn't want to be there, decided to trash talk Olivia some more), had Lorenzo remembering the sweet nothings Olivia did for him.

Lorenzo:
"It could be 3 am in the morning and I could be hungry and she would bring me something to eat."

Tracy
"How patheic. What a loser."

No, my dear Tracy, that's called caring or love. That's the same as if you asked Lorenzo to go get you some cough medicine or tampons because you're not feeling well and he did it without complanit. People do things out of love or caring. So Olivia doing midnight runs to Burger King because he's hungry is considered sweet. Even though, she could do so much better : (

So.. I watch this show and to be honest I don't understand why everyone cares about the drama so much.? I mean, Hey, at least its not your drama. So who cares if it is real or not... It's a shame that Tracy is so mean spirited. What started their feud in the first place? Every time poor Olivia tries to squash it, Tracy pounds back harder. Where is her head?

As for Alexis, I understand she wants to protray herself as a professional but a little kindness can go along way. Being high and mighty won't bring you clintel.

I love the owner and her daughter. This is how management should work. Encouragement, kindness, and patience.

All in all, those of bad behavior should know that when the show airs and it showcases their high maintience attitudes and immaturity that it will hurt their business and reduce their clientel. Watch what you say!

Tracy makes me totally sick. Her and Olivia's attitude is so high school. They need to learn how to grow up. I own a beauty salon myself and I understand how things can get a little frustrating, but no grown girls should act like that. I cant even watch this show anymore. I loved it cause i love how they run it and all the other workers but just watching Tracy's and Olivia's behavior makes me furious! They would be fired in a second after they fought outside of the salon!

Honestly, the owner and her daughter seem down to earth and real enough to not be considered complete shitbags. Can't say the same for the other girls of the salon. Believe it or not, your average female, working an average salon job, are able to work without bringing their drama with them. But these girls don't just bring their drama with them to work, they thrive on it. Unless they are actively fighting or bickering with one another, they don't feel truely alive. But it's stupid bitches like this that make the populus lose respect for women.
Not to mention nearly all of the younger girls have NO fasion sense. Who the fuck decorates their apartment in all animal-print? Animal-print is for hookers! Is the the New Jersey style??? "Whore-sheik"? And what the hell is up with their hair??? Big poofy hair is for 50 year old women! Seriously, look at hairstyles from the 60s, EXACTLY the same!
Anyways, as much as you can criticise their fashion, their biggest problem is their attitudes. They are such negative, such contrary personalities, that they don't even deserve to be classified as human. No, they are a different (more devolved) species: homo fukinbitchus.

i watched the show for the first time tonight..im 44 and yes jersey has always been know for their big hair, makeup and nails...but let me say this.... the salon is beautiful.. some of the girls are very high maintenance, but dont critize NEW JERSEY, because of a tv show.... not all jerseyians are high maintenace!!!!

The show is obviously real!!! I love Jerseylicious! You can go there and get stuff done by the people on the show. Say what you want about their hair and makeup, but dont say it has no skill. Maybe, it's not your style but it takes a lot of talent to get your hair and makeup like that! You try! I am going there soon to get a haircut and maybe color from probably GiGi, maybe tracy, but probably gigi, and a makeup lesson from Olivia. If Alexa is a paid actor, then why is glam fairy a real company that shes part of?

I happened to watch a "Sell This House" episode from few years ago recently, and lo and behold, there were Frankie and his mom getting a home makeover from Roger and Tanya. Now he is Gig's "boyfriend"? Hmmm.

The Gatsby owners have more patience than most! If a professional appearance is important to The Gatsby - require a certain dress code for your staff. Make it simple. Please, please ask Tracy to throw away those horrific, tacky earrings that she wears ALL the time! Tracie is the cancer of the show. Trust me, the other staff members have enough personality to draw ratings for this show WITHOUT Tracie. As a manager, I would NEVER allow my staff to represent my salon the way Tracy is, not just by her clothes, but her hair as well. How MANY customers would actually request a hair style like hers or to even look like her?

Kudo's to Olivia, for actually stepping to the plate when needed in the salon & being a real team player. Alexus, Gigi are great girls & show alot of talent!

After hearing that everyone is paid to act on Jerseylicious, i will not watch it cos it's fake! Olivia is a true person unlike Tracy and Alexis who are completely fake and are backstabbers. Tracy needs decent makeup and some colour on her face. She looks like a 1950's person with her horrible hair style. This is the millenium girlfriend! Alexis is not exactly a make up artist as she proclaims. Her make up on her face looks like a clown! It is far from professional and should not be in the beauty industry.. I admit I am addict to the show but I looked up the hair salon's website and not one of the actors are in the photo gallery except for Gayle and her daughter. Wow that is deep. I had a feeling that the show was fake. It was just too much drama. Take a look for yourselves. They even have the Locs of Love event and not one person from the show was on there. I read that Olivia and Tracy are paid actors along with everyone else.

I cannot believe the makeup these girls wear. It is ATROCIOUS!!!!!! They look like monsters. I would never let these people touch me just based on what they look like. HORRIFYING!

I'm originally from northern NJ and, yes, we do have guidos and guidettes but these guys push the knob to 11. They aren't getting rid of Tracy because she stirs the pot and that's what TV is about, people. You're all being manipulated; nobody's going to tune in to watch people cut hair. Obviously Olivia is a sweet girl and I can't see any reason why Tracy would hate her, except for ratings.

I'd like to know how old these "girls" are because I have a feeling they're all younger than they look. They look like tired suburban housewives but they talk like they're in their 20s (content, not accent). Gigi can do better? Rilly? Tonight I happened to run across the show, and couldn't believe what I was seeing. This is not the New Jersey that I know. Is this the hidden part of NJ that is tucked away so no one will see it?
I am familiar with Princeton, Pennington, and Lambertville, and I have never seen any woman, young or older who wore clothing like these girls, along with the horrible makeup and hairstyles.
The owners of the salon look very nice, but the young employees are just "too much."
Like the well known NYC salon said, "Less is More." Understated is classy, and you don't have to draw attention to yourselves by going to tanning salons, wearing too much makeup, teased hair, short clothes in very bad taste and teased hair.

Olivia is one hot tomato. Jerseylicious reminds me of Ozone Park Queens back in the 80's.I recently bought this book Wise Advice touched by the Mafia Recruited by Law Enforcement which talks about Gotti and Massino Ozone Park a lot of other mafia stuff. I really like this book and I like Jerseylicious and the Gatsby girls even more.

Some of you want to know...is this all an act for the show? Probably not (or at least not most of it). I lived in NJ for a dozen years, and there were many women who sounded and acted just like these stylists. These are Jersey girls born and bred. Tracy and Olivia are so gross. Gayle should trust her instincts and hire more professional, classier hairdressers. She actually went to Glam Fairy house for an interview, it is not like Alexa was busy with a client she just made your aunt look like a sucker and kissing up to her. That was a big no no. She should have hired everyone way before the opening of the store so she would not have looked so desperate. Tracy is a trans so she should not even be there. Glam Fairy, you can get any one that does makeup and respects the owner. Glam Fairy isn't anything special. Alexa has no life that is why she is so miserable, lonely child.

I have been a licensed professional hairdresser for over 30 years. The show and salon are an embarrassment to all hairdressers, who really work with class.

How can the owner honestly think this is positive take on the business and all the Italian people?

I totally agree with about statement about Tracy being immature and so mean spirited. I mean seriously she needs to go!!

I agree with PC. The Soprano-esque post above with all the vulgar language only makes your aunt's business look less like class and more like trash. Gayle actually does seem like a competent professional and caring owner. Unless you have something intelligent to say on her behalf, you should probably keep it to yourself. Let's get it together, people.

I have watched the first few episodes and found them extremely entertaining. I'm surprised that no one has commented on the so-called glam fairy. Not only is she annoying, she finds a way to overestimate her significance in every scene. She really needs to get over herself. No one cares how many brides you've powdered and primped.

Isn't it interesting that the most classless people on the planet are always on reality shows talking about how classy they are? Tracy is a prime example of this trend.

And can someone please tell all of the spray tan fanatics to tone it down about 50 shades? Anything more than what you would naturally look like after spending a day or two laying out in the Caribbean is just tacky!!!

I love Olivia. She has class. Tracy is the IMMATURE one. She has no class and has a thieving boyfriend that has homosexual qualities. They deserve each other. I'd like to slap Tracy bald headed.
