First and foremost, I'd like to say these officers don't make the law they are here to enforce it. We as a people can't allow anyone to run around breaking laws at will or this country would be just like a third world country. So if you want to go where the law is not upheld and justice is not served then go!!!! With that being said job well done!

only a cop or a doughnut would suggest that.
almost everybody knows at least one pot-head and they are the least threatening people in our society... they don't need to be in jail, they rarely get off the couch....
there are literally millions of laws on the books.. the MAJORITY of them are no longer enforced because they are archaic but legislators dont waste the time to re-write them because it's not necessary as long as law enforcement properly prioritizes their duties to reflect society's current values..
when law enforcement fails to do this, it creates more work on the legislators who now have to re-write the law. in addition, it fills our jails and prisons and court dockets up with people who are NOT a danger to society and as a result, law enforcement has far less resources to allocate to the criminals who ARE a danger to society.
how many felony warrants does your department have outstanding waiting to be served on VIOLENT criminals ??
but hey, if you guys have THAT much money to go poking into people's personal homes looking for illegal flora and fauna, perhaps a BUDGET CUT shall be proposed.
since the proceeds from selling property confiscated gets split up between the local, county and state police departments, it looks like you just confiscated more than enough to cover your budget anyway.
